Transient
surges can enter electronic equipment through
any connection, not just the AC power line.
Facilities with reliable AC power protectors
can still experience surge-related system downtime.
Transient surge energies from sources such
as nearby lightning strikes, inductive load
switching, ground loop currents, and electrostatic
discharge are clamped by AC protectors into
the shared communication ground, resulting in
damage to expensive communication hardware.
The 616 & 632 Series includes:
16 port or 32 port, 19” rack protectors as
well as 16 or 32 port , 5” offset wall mounted
option where 19” relay rack space is limited.
A wide variety of communication interfaces
are supported that include 1000BASE-T Ethernet,
RS232, along with Power over Ethernet Mode A
and Mode B. For Telco requirements, units
offer protection for Dial-up, T1, DDS, ISDN
and other lease line environments.
